These were photos that had blown-out highlights or very dark shadow areas, and by adjusting the Tone Curve, they could be enhanced enough that algorithms in PhotoGrav 3. In short, the automatic enhancement by PhotoGrav is excellent, and overriding the software did not yield much gain. My findings were negligible compared to the amount of time I invested in running test after test. The objective of the program is to efficiently process scanned photographs so that they can be engraved on a variety of common materials with confidence that the engraved photographs will be of superb quality. PhotoGraV has been designed specifically for Laser Engravers. There are crack groups who work together in order to crack software, games, etc.
